Corporate Publicist

AIM is a software engineering firm specializing in IT solutions for the healthcare industry, with a focus on data collection and data processing systems for research and disease prevention.

We are seeking a Corporate Publicist, on a half-time basis, with creative writing skills and organizational abilities to generate promotional material and activities for the company. Principal tasks will be to write and publish newsletters, product descriptions, website content, news releases and related literature in paper and electronic formats. Also assist with the organization of company events, the support of a users group and identifying opportunities to publicize the company.

You must have journalistic and graphic design skills, a good command of language and experience in authoring articles for corporate clients. The ability to innovate and work effectively on your own is important. You produce high quality work and adhere to schedules. You have good communications skills and the ability to establish a rapport. A basic understanding of the company's business domain is necessary.

Medical Informatics Analyst

AIM is a software engineering firm specializing in IT solutions for the healthcare industry, with a focus on data collection and data processing systems for cancer research and disease prevention. We are seeking a data analyst to join our growing team.

The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with proven analytical abilities, excellent oral and written communication skills, proficient at technical problem solving, and familiar with rule-based AI systems.

Reporting to the Manager of the AI Technology and R&D group your responsibilities will include:

• Analysis of medical diagnostic reports (pathology, radiology, MRI, hematology, etc.)
• Maintaining AIM's natural language processing lexicons and testing methods (training will be provided)
• Assisting with the formulation of automated coding and abstracting rules (training will be provided)
• Analyzing and preparing statistics and metrics describing the performance of automated systems.

Preferred candidates will have an University or College degree and exposure to one or more of the following:

• SQL databases (SQL Server and/or Oracle)
• Software testing using manual or automated methods
• Basic statistical analysis
• Rule-based AI systems
• Microsoft .Net environment
